Food & Nutrition

Food & Nutrition combines practical cookery with scientific understanding. KS3 focuses on hygiene, knife skills, and basic recipes, progressing to complex techniques and food science concepts like raising agents and the function of ingredients. At GCSE, student's complete investigations and prepare a three-dish menu under timed conditions, applying knowledge of nutrition and presentation. Students take part in our Food Science Club and help maintain the school vegetable garden, making learning hands-on and exciting.
